Neki aur pooch pooch?

There was a old clothes donation drive in our office. They collected old clothes from everyone and gave them to an NGO in bangalore. I saw the mail which asked us to get the clothes and drop them in a box kept in cafeteria.
I revamped my shelf over the weekend, it took me almost all of sunday to get it back in some shape and decide which ones am not going to wear anymore. I think I really had to be a little harsh on deciding which good ones to give away. On monday morning I walked in to office with this big bag full of clothes feeling actually very good that am helping in a good cause. I took that bad to cafeteria and to my surprise, there was no drop box!! I waited till afternoon for the drop box to be put up but nothing came up!
I went back and read the mail again and it clearly said, the collection drive ended on FRIDAY!!
I felt so so so dtupid.. I couldnt read a short mail completely at one go!! I dont know what keeps chasing me.. always in a hurry and never give attention to finer details!! I know all this but still keep repeating the same mistake all the time!
I again had to carry all that truck load of clothes back home... Mere kapde kissi ne nahin liye!! I guess I gotto drop them directly at the NGO this weekend.
